Lemons Ohio

February 8th, 2009

You know it’s just 8 short months away, so I started cruising craigslist for the next TARP Special.

The last one is the best.  The description had me in tears.  Its FULLY LOADED!  Oh, it does need a new battery…

(wait for it)

and a transmission.

But hey, whats that white thing hiding behind it?  Mazda?

In general, it’s better in the course of a divorce to sell the car as a whole. It was a mistake to sell the battery and the transmission separately.

I’m disappointed that your listings did not include a Monte Carlo in primer gray. Central Indiana has always been filled with those.

“Divorice?” Is that a derivitive of “licorice?” I wonder if that Thunderbird understeers. I’m *sure* Ford designers took care to ensure the engine’s center of gravity is well behind the front axle.
Honda Acuras are so awesome! My favorite Honda is definitely the Acura model. But wait…Hondas are known for blowing gaskets in Lemons. Wonder if this one has ever run hot? Ya think? I also like how it’s sunk in the mud.

    More quality rides to enjoy:

The buyer doesn’t want to build this one up too much:
“car is in great condition, no rust, interior is real nice, however the car has no title, no engine or trans. and its missing the two front fenders”

    http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/1016332420.html

“Would make a great demo derby car:”

    http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/1006462138.html

It would be difficult to make this one get under the 4000-pound max weight limit, but with some ingenuity (like cutting off the roof), I bet you could make it happen:

But I think this is your winner:

Matt, those in the know pronounce it ACK-ur-ah, and yes, it is pimpin’, green fender and all.

Plus, sounds like we can trade a handgun for it. That ought to make for a good story for the Lemons judges.

That Capri in the fixed link 1 is priceless. It wouldn’t be a great LeMons car, but it might be the first Capri of that era to ever be run at a LeMons event. I bet it drives like a pig. Isn’t it FWD?
